SCRIP
SHAW is registered with www.shopwithscrip.com. From this website, you are able to place your scrip orders online! The first step is to set up a family account. Kris De Smet's role in this process is to gather all orders on a regular basis and collect payment from you.
This is the basic process:
- Go to the www.shopwithscrip.com website and click on the “Getting Started” link.
- Register for your family account. Without registration, your order cannot be accepted for processing. When you register, you will be asked for an enrollment code. The code is 399343AA13L7.
- You are then able to place your order by making your selections.
- Submit your order.
- Orders are gathered each Monday after 6 p.m. If you have an "emergency" order, you will need to contact the Director of Scrip, Kris De Smet, directly at kristieweb@sbcglobal.net.
- When your order is ready, Kris will e-mail you. Scrip orders are picked up at Kris' house. Address information and transaction details will be sent via e-mail. Generally the order is picked up at Kris' house and payment is deposited into the mail slot.
The advantages of using Scrip are:
· Convenience - Order scrip from home or office
· Accuracy – families can only order valid products – no wrong denominations or retailers
· Better information – families can see their own purchase history, and the status of their orders.
· MOST IMPORTANTLY... It reduces your ice fees.
Some points to keep in mind:
- The percentages shown for each type of scrip are not what SHAW uses to calculate your scrip credit. You would subtract 2% from any of the posted percentages on www.shopwithscrip.com to determine what your actual scrip credit will be for that purchase. For example, Bath and Body Works may show a 9% credit on the website. However, SHAW calculates your scrip credit at 7% (e.g., 9% -2%). This is done to cover shipping costs. If this was not done, the scrip account would gradually be depleted. The exception to this procedure is scrips of 1 or 2%; These percentages remain unchanged when calculating your Scrip percentage.
- SHAW members without internet access can call Kris directly to place an order. Kris' phone number is 414.545.5059 and orders can be left on voice mail.
- You may post-date a check for up to one week only. Checks and cash are accepted. Checks are made payable to SHAW Scrip.
