The 18th annual Kohlman Cup Pee Wee all-star tournament will take place on March 25-26, 2023, at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. You can register for tryouts and pay your fees on-line at www.kohlmancup.com.
The Kohlman Cup is open to all 2010 and 2011 Tier II Pee Wee boys and girls in Wisconsin. Girls must choose whether to try out for the Kohlman Cup boys’ team or girls’ team and are not allowed to try out for both. Kohlman Cup tryouts are on Tuesday March 15th at six regional locations.
Players MUST participate in tryouts to play in the Kohlman Cup.
The Kohlman Cup started in 2005 as the WAHA CUP but was renamed to honor the many contributions former WAHA Board member Don Kohlman made to improve hockey in Wisconsin. Mr. Kohlman was instrumental in the creation of the WAHA CUP/Kohlman Cup and was on hand to supervise the first four tournaments. Mr. Kohlman passed away in October 2008.
The Jacob Trannel Skills competition is on Saturday evening March 25 at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena and is a great night for all players and families to enjoy. Jacob Trannel was a member of the WAHA CUP champion Region 6 team in 2005 and he was also a member of the Region 6 team in 2006. Jacob was selected to play for Team Wisconsin both years he in participated in the WAHA CUP. Jacob passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 in December 2008.
