MINI MITE (6U)
MINI MITE
The Mini Mites/6U program is designed to solidify the strong foundation of hockey skills players have started building, while continuing to encourage a positive outlook of the game. At this level, there are typically two practices per week on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with the season officially starting in October. The primary focus at this level is to develop basic skills using USA Hockey and ADM skills-based practice models. Players will participate in in-house activities and games with other local organizations, with games being played in a cross-ice format to encourage more puck touches and involvement by every player. Optional tournaments may also be offered, with additional fees communicated by team managers or coordinators. At this level, travel expectations are minimal, attendance can be flexible, and all players are given equal playing time regardless of skill. The Mini Mites-U6 level provides a consistently fun and supportive environment so that all players can build confidence, develop their skills at their own pace, and grow their passion for hockey.
