Squirt (10U)
- 2–5 ice touches (practices and games) per week
- Season kicks off in September, with evaluations later in the month for team selections
- Check the SHAW calendar on the website and Crossbar app for dates and schedule changes
- Games and scrimmages begin in October
- Game format is full ice
- Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA)-sanctioned games/tournaments and state tournaments
- USA Hockey and ADM skills-based practice model, focusing on small-area games to improve basic and strategic game skills
- Teams are determined by enrollment and traditionally field A, B, and C levels
- Roster sizes are determined by the VP on Ice, Coaching Director, and Hockey Director
- Expectation to travel within the state, with the possibility of out-of-state tournaments
- Players are expected to attend all practices and games, as rosters are set
- Playing time is determined by individual team rules, attendance, discipline, and coach’s discretion
- Additional team and tournament fees should be expected and will be communicated by the Head Coach and Manager
