Mite (8U)
- 3-4 ice touches (practices and games) per week
- Season kicks off in September *Check SHAW calendar on website and Crossbar app for dates and schedule changes
- Main Focus: basic skill development
- Game format: Half ice
- Typically play in-house games through November
- Follow the USA Hockey Red, White, and Blue team classification breakdown
- Red, White, and Blue team play begins in January
- Tournaments determined by coordinators/managers
- Number of players per team determined by coordinators
- Minimal travel expectations
- Lenient attendance policy
- Fair and equal playing time
- Additional tournament fees to be expected and communicated by coordinators/managers
