High School
- 2–5 ice touches (practices and games) per week, including weekday practices and weekend games/tournaments
- Practices begin in July, with evaluations later in the month
- Check the SHAW calendar on the website and Crossbar app for dates and schedule changes
- Games begin based on league rules
- Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA)-sanctioned games/tournaments and state tournaments
- USA Hockey and ADM skills-based practice model, focusing on small-area games to improve basic and strategic game skills
- Teams are determined by enrollment and traditionally field A, B, and C levels
- Roster sizes are determined by the VP on Ice, Coaching Director, and Hockey Director, who may decide to field JV/U16 and Varsity/U18 teams
- Expectation to travel both in-state and out-of-state for games and tournaments
- Players are expected to attend all practices and games, as rosters are set
- Playing time is determined by individual team rules, attendance, discipline, and coach’s discretion
- Additional team and tournament fees should be expected and will be communicated by the Head Coach and Manager
- One SHAW-paid bus trip per season
- Team receives SHAW gear bags, with one bag provided per player for their high school career
